Bonnie’s Character

In this movie, Bonnie plays a larger role than the first installment of the series but, as with every adaptation, is not as it is in the books.

Ginny starts Hogwarts this year, but instead of having a normal school term she becomes possessed by Riddle’s diary, which was left in her school stuff by Lucius Malfoy (Draco’s dad) when the Weasleys ran into them at Diagon Alley. She confides everything to the diary incluing all about Harry Potter and the Tom Riddle starts to consume her life until fully possesing her. She opens the Chamber of Secrets on various occasions, under his control, letting the basilisk out and petrifying various students, Filch’s cat Mrs. Norris and Ghost Nick Nearly Headless. When Tom Riddle was able to take full control of Ginny, he made her to write a message that she had been taken to the Chamber so that Harry could go save her and her could kill him. Harry goes to save her and almost dies, but in the end with the help of Gryffindor’s Sword and Dumbledore’s phoenix Fawkes Tom Riddle along with the Diary are finished.
